THE JOURNEY

I worked as an educator in New Orleans from 2006 through 2014. I taught high school mathematics and French and also tutored students from second grade through high school. Early on, I watched young students enter school with a bright spark and a genuine love for learning. Unfortunately, by second or third grade, many of those same students had become disengaged and discouraged by traditional schooling.

When I had children of my own, I decided to homeschool. I struggled to find resources that fit our learning style. We focus on hands-on, real world learning (aka unschooling) and spend a lot of time expoloring the world around us. We spent a lot of time finding and putting together writing activities, reading materials, and educational videos to help our learners process and further understand our experiences.
